A very rare issue of Hostilian as Augustus

CILICIA. Aegeae. Hostilian, 251. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 25 mm, 11.47 g, 6 h), CY 297 = 250/1, but struck June-15 July 251. Γ ΟΥ ΟϹ Μ ΚΥΙΝΤΟϹ Θ Κ Υ ϹЄΒΑ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hostilian to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΑΙΓЄΑΙⲰΝ ΝЄⲰΚΟΡΟΥ / [ΖϘϹ] Diademed, veiled and draped bust of Hygieia to right; serpent coiling around her shoulders and feeding eggs from plate. Haymann 225 (same dies). RPC IX 1457 (same dies). Very rare. An interesting issue of Hostilian as Augustus with lovely earthen highlights. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
